Project Description:

A school campus is designed for the primary education in CBSE. The building comprises of classrooms, library, computer facility, principal office, laboratory, audio visual room, staff office, conference rooms and toilet block. Adjacent to this complex of classrooms there is a multipurpose hall for the purpose of afternoon lunch, assemblies, sports and gatherings.

The school is designed particularly aiming at its user the primary school child. Everything in the school design such as its main door, staircase railing, design of staircase, its corridors, scale of classrooms, and use of vibrant colors, abundant natural light, and safety features addresses needs and psychology of children. It has got very interactive spaces where children and teachers often meet and experience a sense of being together. It has been more than a decade the building is put to use and it gathers an interesting feedback from these young and vibrant children. Externally the building wears grit plaster with china mosaic assuring a non-weary look. This primary block and very innovatively designed multipurpose hall has been awarded world architecture award during its seventh cycle. The wide corridors within the classrooms are often used as exhibition space of the visual work carried out by the children.
